“The practical idea of Café Scientifique is simply to skillfully talk about science and technology in a non-academic and informal setting emphasizing engagements around behaviors, beliefs, and way of thinking of a people; and shaping how that will impact collective societal development. At the end of each Café, a communique will be sent to relevant Governmental and Non- Governmental organizations to foster implementations of possible solutions derived by the participants of each café. Launched as one of the projects of Rouleaux Foundation in 2017, the Cafe Scientifique has only remained in Lagos reaching a little portion of the Southwest region. Hence Cafe Scientifique Ebonyi will be Launched in April 2022 to reach the entire Southeast and South-south regions of Nigeria. The interesting thing about Cafe Scientifique is that though it seems like it is focused on only SDG 4, over the next 5 years, different Cafe themes would be centered around SDGs 3,6,7,9,11,12,13”.
