The accomplishments of Ayoola John Oluwafemi

On Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022, Ayoola John Oluwafemi facilitated a session in CEHUWEI LEADERSHIP AND ADVOCACY FOR YOUTH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME (CLAY FELLOWSHIP) tagged “NEW MEDIA and INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY”.

He was able to engage the fellows on how they can use the New Media after the definition of New Media, Technology and Information have been discussed. He seized the moment to explain the ICT tools that are useful for their advancement and how they can be used effectively and efficiently. The ICT tools include LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Drive, Gmail and Coursera. At the end of my session, he left the links for opportunities around them.

Ayoola John Oluwafemi joined International Astronomy and Astrophysics Challenge in 2019. He supported students in his community and his mentees, Adejumobi Peace Adetayo and Alade Victor Olalekan emerged as the First and Third Regional Award of Africa winners respectively.

In 2020, his mentee, Adejumobi Peace Adetayo supported Adedeji Oladayo to emerge as the National Award of IAAC. See more

In 2022, Ayoola John Oluwafemi became the second Ambassador Award for Excellent Encouragement received from International Astronomy and Astrophysics Challenge. See more

Ayoola John Oluwafemi hope to see a better society and that is the reason for making sure the youths are exposed to mentorship and register for opportunities.

Akorede Bashit Olalekan is a committed mente that showed passion to learn a new skill and solve problems facing the world. He was part of those John supported to participate in the 2022 edition of the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Challenge. The video explained what he gained during his participation in the challenge.

Bashit is now in the process of putting forward an application to become the International Youth Math Challenge Ambassador, 2022 edition with the support of John.

Also, over thirty (30) youths has enjoyed over hundred (100) free courses on Coursera.

Ayoola John Oluwafemi is currently a graduate intern at International Institute of Agriculture, Forest Center, Ibadan. IITA Forest Center deal with conservation of plants and animal and also engage people on citizen science through IBADAN BIRD CLUB (IBC). Link to IITA

John have been working on research on how tree species can be propagated with different sowing media for better rapid growth and healthy tree for the control of climate change.
